The star of our new MW Collection: ROE

The Copenhagen-based fashion blogger Sophia Roe has become well known for her sharp, minimalistic Scandinavian style. Her styling has been featured in international fashion magazines and she has worked with other high-end brands such as Chanel and Balenciaga. With a passion for sunglasses, we knew the first time we met her, it would be a natural fit.

A new handcrafted classic, with attention to detail

We designed, in our opinion, one of our best models to date. The classic square shape with rounded edges is one that suits most faces and has an air of effortless sophistication. ROE is classy yet cool, classic yet modern. We are incredibly proud of this collaboration and the final product. 

ROE is handcrafted and assembled by master craftsmen using the best materials available. There are almost 200 steps in the production of these sunglasses, a manual process that takes 6-8 weeks. From cutting the raw acetate, baking, forming and inserting with precision the various details, to hand polishing the smooth edges and assembling the final sunglasses, we've taken every measure to provide you with the best possible quality.

Beautiful colorways, designed for every fashion-sense 

With a skilled ability to express herself visually, Roe knew from the start the details needed to be on point. These sunglasses were designed to be a statement piece, an accessory to reflect every mood. Of course, the classic black color is a must. Every woman has a little black dress, and with that, you need a little black pair of sunnies. The tortoise color adds a bit of color and cool detail that shine in the sunlight. While the champagne color is perfect for those days when you want to play with brighter, fun colors.

High attention to detail

The frame is handcrafted from acetate, with a double layer of clear crystal acetate on the inner side of the temples, exposing the unique design details of the metal within. The signature MW logo in gold chrome and the two dot rivets give a subtle, minimalistic look and an overall exclusive design. The hinges are hand-drilled and strengthened with 5 barrel-hinges—ensuring consistently tight and durable folding of the temples. The temple tips feature laser-engraved indentations to provide an even better fit behind the ears.
