MessyWeekend + Kicstarter

We have done it twice, and now we are doing it again. We are making a Kickstarter campaign that launches two new amazing products at an (even more than usual) attractive early bird price. If you haven’t heard about Kickstarter yet, it's about time that we tell you about it.

What’s the idea with Kickstarter?

Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform, which mission and goal is to help bring all sorts of ideas and projects to life.

Kickstarter launched in 2009 and is today embracing a global network of creative projects, counting to 10 million people worldwide who have supported a Kickstarter project.

“Kickstarter helps artists, musicians, filmmakers, designers, and other creators find the resources and support they need to make their ideas a reality. To date, tens of thousands of creative projects — big and small — have come to life with the support of the Kickstarter community” - Kickstarter.com

Until now, Kickstarter have:

17 million people have started a project on Kickstrater.com

4.6 billion dollars has been donated to finance Kickstarter projects

171046 projects have been successfully financed through Kickstarter.

OKAY, NICE. BUT HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Kickstarter model involves an entrepreneur registering and presenting his or her idea through a Kickstarter project on the website.

The presentation should include a video and a description of the project idea as well as the story behind the project. Interested investors or future customers can then sponsor the project with money and thereby help to realize the project and make it come to life.

All Kickstarter projects need to set a financial goal, and once the goal is reached, the project can be declared successful. All Kickstarter projects must include a reward for their investors or so-called "backers", which in our case have been our products.

MESSYWEEKEND X KICKSTARTER

MessyWeekend has already had two projects financed via Kickstarter. First in 2018 where we showed the world our baby darling, our first collection of Danish design sunglasses with great quality materials and at a price that is fair to everyone.

Our second Kickstarter campaign launched the following year in October 2018, expanding our universe by lifting the veil for the cousin from the cold north - our XE-one ski goggles.

With the help from Kickstarter and the support from thousands of backers, MessyWeekend has grown to where we are today and has made it possible to develop our products and launch our third Kickstarter project at fall 2019.

OUR KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN FALL 2019 - WHAT’S ALL THE FUSS ABOUT?

This fall we have gone into nerd-mode and went deep in the technical stuff to be able to develop two new ski-lenses, who for sure will improve your ski- or snowboard experience.

We present to you our brand new ski goggles with either an XE2 lens or an XEP lens.

Our new ski goggles are scratch-resistant, have anti-fog systems and have a perfect fit due to the improved straps. Among other things, the XEP lenses also adapts to every conceivable weather condition, and will always give you a clear vision, whether the sun is sky high, on cloudy days or if you get lost in a blizzard.

Read more about MW ski goggle XE2 and XEP-lenses here on our website or go directly to the new Kickstarter campaign and become a part of our awesome backers right here.
